Daily contribution towards travel fees for school placements and SOTs travel.

Travel expenses of undergraduate student teachers are subsidised by the University, with all student teachers, regardless of mode of transport, paying the equivalent of a FirstDay Travelcard per day.  This is payable in one payment at enrolment in November.  As a result of your lump sum payment, all authorised travel expenses incurred whilst on placement will be reimbursed (see Transport Policy for details of how to claim).

If the payment options are not taken at the time of enrolment then a student cannot be made current and will therefore not receive student loans.  Non-payment by the end of November of the current academic year may result in your placement being withdrawn or the amount will become a student debt which may prevent re-enrolment or graduation.
