Join the YSJ team as staff, students and alumni take on the York 10k!  Our discounted ticket price covers your entry to the event and a YSJ team t-shirt, but our team is running for more than just fun (if running can ever be called that)! We are raising money for our alumni-funded scholarships which help underrepresented individuals access the education they deserve. Each runner is asked to raise a minimum of £100, the entirety of which will go straight to the fund. This is an amazing opportunity to see York in a new way and support your YSJ community.  

There are only 15 tickets available, but watch this space as we will be releasing more at a later date!

More about the alumni-funded scholarships:
This academic year, we awarded 14 scholarships to support less advantaged students throughout their degree. These individuals come from backgrounds underrepresented in Higher Education, such as care leavers, carers, mature students, and those whose family circumstances have drastically changed. The need for scholarships is extremely high and 71% of applicants missed out on a scholarship this year due to lack of funds. We want to support more students and we can do so with your help. If you are not able to join us for the run, you can still support our team by donating to our JustGiving campaign. Here, you can also keep updated with any training updates and the total raised so far!
