Counselling in Schools Workshop 2025

Students in a circle

£100.00

Description

By studying this course, you will develop the ability to successfully deliver counselling in both primary and secondary schools. You'll gain insight into the perspectives on counselling from children, young people and school staff.

With this information, you'll be well equipped to promote the benefits of counselling to members of the school community.
There is a fine balance to be struck between client confidentiality and staff collaboration, especially when it comes to concerns around safety and security. This is why it is important to identify and build relationships with the faculty members who can help you to promote emotional and mental health in schools. On this course, you'll work out how to identify the key collaborators that you'll need to work with for success.
Our teaching is informed by the ETHOS research project, undertaken at the University of Roehampton. ETHOS explores the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of Humanistic Counselling in schools.
