These workshops are open to everyone, from newcomers who want to take up a hobby through to experienced artists looking to continue their practice and hone their skills. It is not a taught class but encouragement and advice will be given where needed.
Detailed Description
Each week we will be working with a nude life model, these may change week to week and will include both male and female life models. Easels, pens, paper, and charcoal will be provided but please feel free to bring your own materials as well.
Workshops will take place 6:30-8:30pm every Thursday evening in the Chapel, York St John University, Lord Mayor's Walk Campus, York.

About the facilitator
Rae Bedford is an Design and Art Technician at York St John University and has modelled for life drawing classes as well as attended as an artist for 10 years. She also has a fine art practice as a painter and printmaker and is a member of Pica Studios in York.
Rae coordinates the life drawing workshops for York St John University. As a tutor Rae is attentive and supportive, so please come along and take advantage of her skills and experience.

We appreciate that there may be occasions where you are unable to attend a CPD course and need to cancel your booking, and we aim to make the process as straight forward as possible. To cancel your place on a CPD course, workshop or other CPD event which requires payment, notice of cancellation must be given ASAP by email to [email protected]. If your course fee is paid by your organisation, then please be aware that you will need to inform your manager directly.
If you are a fee payer, you may be able to receive a refund or we may be able to trasnfer your booking to another day depending on when you inform us of the cancellation:
- If you cancel more than 24 hours prior to the start of the course you will receive a full refund.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the event you will not be entitled to a refund.
If you are unable to attend but wish to transfer the booking to someone else, you can do this up to the day before the course starts without any further cost by contacting us via email.
Cancellation by York St John University
In some circumstances we may need to take the decision to cancel a CPD course, workshop or event. In this case all delegates will be offered a full refund, and if appropriate, be offered priority booking on any rescheduled course in the future. It may also be possible to transfer a booking to another CPD course, if appropriate.
